You and Corazon were seated across from one another in the kitchen, snacking on some cookies the father figure had made whilst chatting on about a certain wanna – be – doctor.

“Law doesn’t like bread?” You chuckled slightly, an eyebrow raised at the interesting information.

Corazon nodded affirmatively, “Not at all, in fact, that’s one thing we have in common.”

“Seems like the only thing to me.” You corrected, “Why don’t you guys like bread?”

Corazon begun to explain his reasoning whilst Law, whom had decided to continue on the assignment on his own, simply ignored the presence of the bumbling fools in the kitchen. He was not exactly content that he now had to do the work himself, but thankfully there was not much left to do. In addition, Law did not want you making any mistakes.

Time ticked by and Law was scribbling down the final paragraphs of the story. It was then he noticed something rather odd, the irksome voices that should have been chatting away in the kitchen had died down substantially. His interest a tad peeked, Law glanced up towards the kitchen to see that the two still remained seated, but their chairs had scooted closer together. Corazon leaned close to you, whispering something that resulted in the [H/C]ette’s eyes to widen in pure amusement, even being forced to slap your hand over your mouth to refrain from laughing. Corazon leaned back once his had finished speaking, letting out soft snickers.

Law wanted to know exactly what they were talking about, but he had a pretty good idea as to what the subject of interest was. His eye twitched with annoyance as the silent exchange dragged on to the point where he could no longer focus on his work.

Corazon then rushed out of the kitchen and towards the staircase, however, he had lost his footing as he attempted to make a sharp turn around the corner and slipped, landing roughly on his backside. Law stared at the tall blonde with a raised eyebrow, watching as Corazon groaned and grumbled in pain as he gradually sat up and rubbed his aching back.

It truly was a wonder how that fool was not dead.

You blinked in shock at the scene, quickly covering your mouth in shock as well as to contain your laughter.

“Damn, that looked like it hurt. Are you okay?” You asked whilst Corazon merely waved in dismissal, swiftly climbing onto his legs then rushed up the stairs, nearly tripping near the top. Law shook his head as another thud sounded followed by a not so silent curse, indicating that Corazon had fallen again.

Minutes later, Corazon returned with a large, leather book. He nearly skipped merrily into the kitchen as he replanted himself in the chair, dropping the book onto the table. Law gaped at the pair for a moment, eyeing their actions questionably. Corazon flipped the book open and began gesturing towards the contents inside whilst you stared with great interest, even displaying shocked expressions towards some of the things the man had pointed out.

Trafalgar’s eyes narrowed as a soft squeal escaped you lips, your hands flying to your cheeks as you leaned in closer to get a better look at whatever you were looking at. You even pulled out your mobile device and snapped several pictures of the pages then proceeded to squeal at your phone’s screen. What in the world were you looking at that could trigger such a reaction?

You glanced towards Law with a playful smirk, “Damn Trafalgar, you were so cute as a kid. How the hell did you become all of this?” You said as you gestured to all of the silver – eyed man.

Law scowled at the words, quickly directing his glared towards his father figure whom bore and innocent smile, “Cora-san, that wouldn’t be the photo album you’re showing Shorty – ya, now would it?” The medical student questioned, his tone composed yet held a chilling ambience to it as he slowly stood up from the couch.

Corazon stiffened slightly at the tone, however he shook his head, “Uh, no – no photo albums here. Nope.” He chuckle, beaming a very large smile towards the unconvinced man on the other side of the room.

“Busted.” You coughed, glancing to the side.

Law calmly approached the kitchen, pausing next to the table as he glanced down at the photo album that lay proudly on the table, displays dozens of images of him when he was a child. He grabbed the album, slamming it shut.

“Alright, Shorty – ya, seeing as I’m practically done with the finishing touches, you can call up whoever brought you here to take you back home – or you could walk, either one works for me. As for you,” Law sharply pushed the photo album towards Corazon, “Put this back. I’ll deal with you when Shorty – ya leaves.”

Corazon quickly did as he was told, snatching up the album and shot up from his seat, nearly tripping as he darted out of the kitchen and around the corner. Law sighed, covering his face with his hands out of exhaustion.

You tapped a small beat on the table for a second before standing up, “Well, uh, this was fun but like you said, I should go.” You rounded the table, strolling past your partner and towards the living room. You quickly gathered your things and placed them into the small bag you had brought along.

You called up your brother, whom arrived soon after. Upon hearing the honk of a horn, you beamed a smile towards Corazon and bid him farewell, as for Law, you just nodded. You started for the door.

“Wait a minute.” Law called out, making you pause with your hand on the door knob. You glanced back curiously, gesturing quietly for him to continue, “Delete whatever pictures you took. And don’t try to play innocent with me, I saw you take them.”

“Aw, but you were so cute when you were a kid! I’d like a reminder that you used to be cute!” You countered with a bright, amused grin.

Law growled lowly, “Shorty – ya.” He warned, taking a step towards you. You groaned, rolled your eyes as you fished your phone out from your pocket and reluctantly deleted the adorable pictures.

    “Show me.” Law then added.

“Really, you don’t trust me?” You gasped sarcastically, placing a hand over your chest as a wounded expression flashed onto your face.

    “No.” He deadpanned.

“Ouch.” You held out your screen for him to look, “There, happy?”

“Very.” Law pulled back, slipping his hands into his jean pockets. “Now get out.”

“Do you treat all your guests like this?” You scoffed, twisting the knob and opening the door.

“Only guests I don’t like.” He retorted evenly.

“Damn Taffy, I feel the love.” You glanced back, noting the mild irritation that Law displayed towards the nickname. You smirked, “Anyways, see ya at school, Taffy.”

Law rolled his eyes, “That’s a weak insult.”

“So is Shorty – ya.” You countered before making your way towards the black car parked in the driveway. Corazon appeared behind Law, leaning against the doorframe and watched as he waved you off.

You opened the passenger door, and entered the car, placing your bag on your lap. You sighed as you buckled the seat belt, “Well, that was fun.”

“So it went well?” David asked as he started up the ignition, turning his head back as he began to pull out of the driveway. An impish smirk pulled at your cheeks as you nodded in satisfaction. David blinked at the content mood his younger sister was in, expected that you would be an annoyed mess.

“You seem happy.” He mumbled as he turned the vehicle onto the road. You chuckled, pulling out a photo of Law when he was a child, displaying it proudly to David.

“Oh yeah, I’m happy ~” You lowered the window and called out to the tall blonde whom still remained at the front door, whilst Law had decided to return inside. You called out contently, “Thanks again for the photo, Corazon! I really appreciate it!”

Corazon stiffened at your words, knowing that your voice was loud enough for a certain silver – eyed man to clearly hear. He sweat dropped as he watched the car speed off until it was no longer in sight, and he began to prepare for the worst. Corazon shut the door and turned to see none other than Trafalgar Law leaning against the wall that separated the kitchen from the staircase, his arms crossed over his chest.

The shorter man bore a cold expression as his piercing gaze fixated intently on Corazon. Law said nothing, nor did he react the way Corazon believed he would towards the situation.

Law tilted his head up a tad, crossing his right leg over the other, “So, Shorty – ya has a photo, yeah? I wonder, how in the world did she got her hands on that.” His smooth voice rumbled.

Corazon shrugged, walking towards the couch in the living room and seated himself on the soft cushions, all the while Law’s stern gaze followed.

“Why did you give her my picture?”

    “Because she asked.”

Law raised an eyebrow at that, pondering for a moment as to why you would even care for an image of himself back when he was a child. More importantly, however, was what you planned to do with said photograph – you better not post in on the internet that was for sure.

“Don’t go give strangers my picture again. Better yet, don't give anything to anyone ever again.” Law grumbled pushing himself off the wall and turned the corner, making his way towards the staircase.

“Isn’t she your partner for English?” Corazon questioned, resting his arms along the top of the couch.

“It’s only temporary.” Law retorted as he climbed the steps.

“You two don’t seem to get along.” Corazon remarked, crossing one leg over the other. Law froze halfway, glancing back at the blonde with narrowed eyes.

“No, we don’t.” He replied firmly.

“Why not? [F/N] seems like a very nice person.” Law scoffed, turning his body to fully face Corazon. [F/N] [L/N] was anything but nice in the ravenette’s perspective, in fact, you seemed to act the exact opposite towards him at least. Corazon merely believes it so because he had never seen the way you and Law ‘conversed’ during school hours.

Even so, it was mainly his fault that your relationship had such a rocky start, however, your attitude was not very attractive in his humble opinion either. He basically hated every single thing about you, it was that simple. There was no need to explain how much you and Law loathed one another, just watching you both fight verbally was enough, not to mention that neither would give their reasons for their disliking one another.

But Corazon wanted a reason, Law knew that very well, and he could give an entire list showing some of the many things he hated about you. However, one thing in particular irked him the most about that woman and it was something that he could not bring himself to admit nor explain to Corazon.

It would have been rather pathetic and embarrassing.

Corazon cleared his throat, drawing the wanna – be – doctor out of his deep thoughts. Law hummed in acknowledgement, giving the father figure his full attention.

“Well?” Corazon pushed, raising an eyebrow.

“She’s just annoying.” Law confirmed with a scowl then continued up the stairs. Corazon sighed, scratching his head at the response he had been given. Was that honesty it? That was the reason he disliked you so much?

He smiled, a light chuckle escaping his lips and he pushed himself off the couch. He slipped his hands into his pockets, gazing towards the staircase, “Looks like I’ve got some work to do.”

Hey, you started being rude to me ¬¬ It's your fault.

However, one thing in particular irked him the most about that woman and it was something that he could not bring himself to admit nor explain to Corazon.

It would have been rather pathetic and embarrassing.
._. Huh? I'm so, so, so curious about this. How can a reason to hate someone be pathetic and embarrassing? I hope I can know what this reason is, I'm really curious.
